Taking the decision to share a difficulty with someone you do not know, can feel quite uncomfortable, especially if you have never sought help outside friends and family before. You may be worried about being judged. Or, you might feel that your difficulty is trivial and that you should be able to ‘get over it’.  You might be worrying that you are ‘making a fuss about nothing’. You might be thinking that given time, the problem will go away. This is all normal!

 

The Mind Umbrella fixes common problems that most people will experience at some point in life. The view we take is that most of these problems can be dealt with swiftly over a few, solution-focused, targeted talking sessions.

This service is for you if:

  • You are experiencing difficult thoughts, unpleasant feelings or you are engaging in maladaptive behaviours
  • You have an interest in talking through your difficulties
  • You are not interested in a long-term commitment to counselling or therapy
